MP3's: To the right is
a menu of aural delights to occupy your working day.
The first
song - "Achiever" is a little ditty inspired by our friend "The
Dude" from "The Big Lebowski" and is posted in honor
of our being selected to play LebowskiFest NYC 2005. The song will
be included on our upcoming, as-yet-untitled CD, which is due to
be released late 2005.
The version of "Eve
of Destruction" is
taken from our debut album, "Sorta
Live."
Wanna hear more TFL songs of this well-recorded caliber? Then yer
gonna have to buy the cd.
All of the other tracks were recorded live at various TFL performances.
Because they are taken from the venues' soundboards, we had no
control over the quality of the mixes. So while they may not be
radio-ready and sonically pristine, we feel that the immediacy
and energy of TFL's live performance more than make up for any
sound guy deficiencies.
LYRICS: Below is a menu
of TFL's original song lyrics. As with all classical poetry,
to just read the words off of a computer screen is to take these
carefully-chosen morsels out of their intended context. Ideally,
these delicate phrases were meant to lie sweetly in the bed of
lush musical accompaniment.
Failing that, you should at least try
and belch them audibly toward nearby co-workers.
Note: Our
lawyers ensure us that TFL can in no way be held legally accountable
for any sexual harassment charges that may arise from doing just
that.
