Small Break from Live Performances

Currently, there are no live dates scheduled.  After a very busy performance calendar for the first 3/4 of 2012, TFL are recording material for a new CD (finally!).

The CD will have some songs that we've been playing live for awhile and it's gonna have some that have yet to be heard by anyone...so lookout!

We're definitely still together and still working hard!  In the meantime, find us and stay in contact with us on FACEBOOK

Saturday (8/18) - THE LAST TFL SHOW FOR QUITE AWHILE...and it's FREE!

Howdy!

Don't let the heading scare you.  Yes, we're taking a break from playing live - but we're not taking a break from working.  in the coming months, TFL plans on working on new songs and recording the new CD.  We (and many of you) feel that it's been far too long since our last official album and dammitt we want a new one!

So the bad news is that there are no new shows booked after this next one, and there probably won't be any for awhile.

But the good news is that we've curated a hell of a kickass lineup for this show!

Also, it's Steve's birthday show so be sure to come and wish him a good one (but you'll have to speak louder - that guy is OLD)!

So here's the lineup for the show...

THE DEAD TRICKS  - Full-throttle classic sounding punk. Any band that lists "biting" among their interest s is a band you wanna check out!
IN CROWD - These guys have been together for about 2 decades but they don't have a website or FB page. So you'll just have to trust us when we say you're gonna love their power-pop/punk mix!  ...and they have a Ph.D. on drums!
TIED FOR LAST  - We're pretty sure you know who we are by now, but if you haven't seen us in awhile or (gasp) at all, you REALLY wanna check this show out!
THE BLOODY MUFFS  - If you've seen us in the past year or two, you probably know this band as well, but if you didn't, you'll wanna stay around - their music is catchy, dirty, drunken FUN!

So come early and stay late!

TFL's Triumphant Return - This Friday - FREE Show in NYC!  (6/22)

We're in a damn good mood here at the TFL Home Office because we had a blast on tour!  Thanks to all those who wished us well in our travels!

It's a bit surreal to return to normal life after playing different nights in different cities and having the time of our lives.  But the bills gotta get paid...

That said, for anyone (rightfully) concerned with the state of the music industry, you can at least take solace that there are a whole bunch of great bands, great promoters, and great music fans still out there.  And in our recent travels (IN, IL, OH, NJ), we've met, played with, and played for a bunch of 'em!  And a huge public THANKS to Steve (the ringer) Ringwald for playing drums for the bulk of the tour.  We couldn't have pulled it off without him (so buy him a drink when you see him)!

The only downside of the tour is that Lina (aka Caroline) has been sidelined with pneumonia.  Apparently, she caught it before the tour but didn't even know she had it until she required a trip to the ER the moment we got back on NY soil.  She is still sick but she's out of the hospital and is recuperating at home.  Big thanks to those who've been sending Get Well wishes!

Meanwhile, we didn't want you to think that our road work was gonna interfere with our desire to play here at home, so with that in mind...

TIED FOR LAST on TOUR (OH, IL, IN, NJ)!

Hey There-

We wanna thank all of you who came out to the 10 year anniversary show!  Desmond's ended up being so crowded that they had to turn some people away at the door, so if you were among those who didn't get in, we're sorry...but you missed a hell of a show!  And to ALL who have helped support us over the past 10 years, we want to sincerely thank you for providing us with more fun than we could have ever hoped for!

TEN YEARS of Tied For Last (in one night) This Friday - May 25th!

Howdy!

We've been ridiculously busy recently in TFL land, and we're gonna be even busier with a tour coming up in June.  But before it's too late, we wanna say that we've met some kickass bands at the shows that we've played recently.  So you may wanna check out any/all of the following (in no particular order):

Tied For Last - in Brooklyn...THIS SATURDAY! 3/24

Howdy!

We hope you've all sobered up (or at least awoke) from St. Patrick's Day.

Just wanted to let you know that, although the TFL Home Office has been super busy recording* and planning a June tour, we know that it's been TOO LONG a time since we've played a weekend New York area show.  We're gonna rectify that THIS SATURDAY - and we'd love to see ya there!

Join us as we play Bar Matchless in Brooklyn for the first time.  It's also the first time we're playing a show produced by our friends at NYC Punk, so you may wanna come early to catch what's sure to be a fun lineup of bands!

Rare Weeknight Show...TONIGHT (Monday, 2/20)

Happy President's Day!

...yeah - it doesn't mean that much to us, either.  But it IS the evening before Mardi Gras, so that's a damn good reason to come out on a weeknight and get your drink on!  Even better - we're playing a FREE show tonight, so there's no reason NOT to go!

(but for the more faint-of-heart, we are on early, so you can still get home to get your beauty sleep)

To make it interesting for y'all, we're planning on playing some lesser-played TFL songs and covers in addition to some of the good ol' standbys, so come on out because it's gonna be a blast!

TFL In Massachusetts TOMORROW (2/3/12)!

Hey Ya!

Normally when we tour, it's a few different shows on a few different nights in a few different cities, but we're doing a fun one-off tomorrow, so check it out...

Do you know anyone in the Boston/Cambridge area?  If so, send 'em our way because we're playing our first-ever Massachusetts show TOMORROW night!

That's right - we're a bunch of New Yorkers headed up to New England two days before the Giants-Patriots Super Bowl matchup...It should be a helluva great time!  So if you send people and they say you sent them, we'll hook you (and them) up with a little bit of TFL merch!

...it's a new year!  We hope you're having a great one so far.

After our extremely busy (and extremely fun) December with three TFL shows, an internet teevee interview, and of course the holidays, we're nursing our hangovers and slowly opening our eyes...
