Tied For Last

Second band of a four band night.

Didn't think we were going to get anybody at the gig, but had a pretty good showing for us, and a VERY good for Acme…We had the second largest crowd I've ever seen for a band there.

The sound was outstanding. Great mix on stage and in the audience (I'm told). ETREMELY HOT (96 degrees that day) Played three new songs ("We're Alright," "I'm Not Fine" and "Got No Life"), and despite my blowing the lyrics on some songs (ok - a LOT of songs), and some technical difficulties with Tom's guitar (couldn't play on "Beautiful In Black" until the last verse), it was a great show.

The crowd was definitely into it - including a good bunch of people who we didn't know that ended up staying for the whole show.

TFL friend Janine danced and rushed the stage during "Take Janine Away" while Tom played and I sang directly to her. Sound guy gave us the "one more song" warning with three songs to go. We decided to skip "Got No Life" and "P&L" and do "Take Janine Away." After finishing that, we ended up getting an encore anyway and did "Got No Life."

Again, we had a blast. Caught half of the set of "Hector", the band that followed us. They were damn good as well, playing catchy, snotty speed punk a la
NOFX.
